Dustmites survive in all climates, all year round, but thrive in an indoor environment with humidity. Because of this, you can commonly find dustmites in bedding (especially pillows) where they can find warmth from a human’s breathing and perspiration.

They also survive well in mattresses, carpets, furniture, cushions, draperies, soft toys, mattresses, bedding and pillows with figures of around 188 animals/g dust. They reproduce all year happily, and any seasonal change in the dustmite population would be hard to detect.
